[resolved] jQuery is not defined (7 posts)

    Hello,
    I have noticed that on sites where jquery is located in footer the UK Cookie Consent plugin generates "jQuery is not defined" reference error. This results in message about cookies appearing every time page refreshes despite clicking OK (since the script cannot read cookie).
    You can check this out here: http://www.bluepurchasing.com.
    Any idea for a patch?
    Best regards,
    Milosz.

    Are you using wp_enqueue_script to enqueue the jQuery?

    Yes, I am using local wp jquery:
    wp_register_script('jquery', '/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js', false, false, true);

    Hmm. How about if the last parameter is false?

    Then jquery will be in head. The thing is I want it to be in the footer. Any other idea ;)?

    Okay, I made an adjustment in 1.4.1 so that jQuery is a dependency. Please update - should work correctly for you now.
