jQuery is loaded twice
-
Hi all,
I’m pulling my hair out over this, as I’ve read through all previous posts related to jQuery inclusion within WP and have yet to find a solution.I am working on the following website: http://www.thejoshuaconnection.com
The WP code renders as I expect when I use Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, but not when I use Internet Explorer. The header and top menu is not displaying properly in IE and I’m confused as to why. I see “jQuery is not defined” errors thrown in IE.
I’ve tried the following:
1) Reuploaded latest “js” file folder from the WordPress site
2) Disabled all plugins
3) Downloaded the Firebug plugin for Firefox to look at the source code. I see the following code:49<script type=’text/javascript’ src=’http://www.thejoshuaconnection.comwp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=3.0.4′></script>
There seems to clearly be a problem here, but I can’t find where this is being compiled. This line does appear if I deactivate all plugins, so I’m not sure from where WordPress is grabbing this. Maybe someone with Firebug could look at this and give me a hint as to what the underlying issue is. Thanks for any help.
