Support » Fixing WordPress » JQuery Custom Scroll Bars not functioning in WordPress

  • I’m trying to transfer a rather JQuery heavy site design from straight up HTML to WordPress but I’m having lots of issues. Mainly with this page which uses JQuery Scroll bars to control three different content areas. Eventually this content will be coming from dynamic content produced by MagicFields but for now, I’m just using the HTML the client had originally produced. In any case, the scrollbars just aren’t working at all and I’m stumped as to why. Seems all the external links to my JQuery .js and css files are good. Already tested it with plugins turned off but to no avail. Anyone know what might be causing this issue?

  • Problem solved. Didn’t realize the problem with in the function on that page to replace all $ references with jQuery instead. Why does WordPress make this so frustrating?

So, can you explain how you solved this a little more? I’m currently working with the same jquery scroll bars, and I figured that I needed to add <?php bloginfo(stylesheet_directory) ?> to all references if I put my jquery stuff in with my theme, but I don’t know what to do past that.
