Hmmm…on further investigation it seems that the sum function isn’t working. I’ve got a time field and had been using SEC_TO_TIME(SUM(TIME_TO_SEC(wp_table_time.duration))) successfully in PhpMyAdmin. I even tried plain old SUM with no transposing. No luck. Thoughts? Thanks!

That is strange. I would think that if it works in PhpMyAdmin it would work in my plugin. I tried a few test queries on my sites I never had any trouble with SEC_TO_TIME or SUM or TIME_TO_SEC, even with joined tables.

Are you getting any errors output on the page or else in your error_log file?

Could you post your whole query and maybe some sample data. You can also contact me directly if you don’t want to post that stuff on a public forum. My email is: wordpress[AT]ieonly[DOT]com

Hi Crissy, just closing out this old thread as “Resolved” per you emailed resolution:

It ended up being a php bug that my provider was able to solve. I wasn’t able to use apostrophes or parenthesis in any of my posts. After they fixed that I was able to use sum().
