    Hi,

I’m using WP job manager with listable child theme. I have a jobs page setup, and would like to set up a secondary “jobs” page that features only specific categories. I have therefore tried to set up a new page with a shortcode such as:

    [jobs categories=”parks”, “cafes”].

However on that page, all categories are appearing. It is not conflict with the theme as it is not successful when the theme is changed. I have also confirmed the slugs are correct.

Can you assist at all please?

    Many thanks

  • Hello,

You used it almost good! 🙂

    Just use it like that:

    [jobs categories="parks,cafes"]

Hi, thanks for your reply. Have tried your change and unfortunately still not working! I can’t even restrict it to a single category. All categories still appear.

I am really do not know why. It should work, because before I send you I tested on my website and everything works well. Do you have turned on the cattegories in the Settings of the WP Job Manager?

Hi @smdntn, as @kibus90 said, that should work:

    [jobs categories="parks,cafes"]

Can you show me a link where this isn’t working as expected?

Hi Richard. Thanks for your reply. Yes, unfortunately it isn’t working. I am not sure if it is a conflict somewhere.

Hi Richard. I’ve realised that a bunch of shortcodes are not working including job_types, categories, post_status, featured and keywords. Do you have any idea as to why this might be? Thanks

I Don’t see any non-functioning shortcodes on that page; by that, I mean that if a shortcode wasn’t working, I’d expect to see the actual text of it on the page.

Now, I noticed that you’re using the Listable theme. Have you asked the theme authors for help?
