Support » Plugin: BackWPup - WordPress Backup Plugin » Jobs not running (Not expected HTTP response:Status-Code: 200)

I recently discovered that our site hasn’t had any backups for a long time. The only clue that something is wrong is this message on the “Information” page:

    Server self connect

    Not expected HTTP response:Status-Code: 200
    Server: nginx
    Date: Mon, 20 May 2019 18:56:32 GMT
    Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
    Content-length: 0
    Cache-control: max-age=2592000
    Expires: Wed, 19 Jun 2019 18:56:32 GMT

If I try to run the job manually, I get this message:

Job "Backup - Daily" has started, but not responded for 10 seconds. Please check information.

If I add define('ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true); to wp-config, and then run the job manually, I only get a blank page.

(This is probably the same as this other seemingly unresolved issue: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-expected-http-responsestatus-code-200/)

Our host (CloudWays) couldn’t find anything wrong on their end, and the plugin “WP-Cron Status Checker” says that wp-cron is working. Any ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sphinxxxx
Even there is a blank page, the job should run, could you please check that ?
    Thanks!

As far as I can see: No (there are no new entries in the “Logs” or “Backups” lists).

    Hi @sphinxxxx
Sorry about the delayed response, is it possible for you to exclude wp-cron.php from being cached? Since BackWPUp checks the response header and found that the url may be cached so the warning shows up.
    Thanks!

It doesn’t look like it’s being cached though. Our hosting provider claims it isn’t, and if I browse to /wp-cron.php, the date response header is the date and time right now?

Hm.. The backups started working again today. Possibly related to us disabling an old plugin which handled WooCommerce payments (“WooCommerce Klarna Gateway”).

Does that make sense? What would it take for a separate plugin to interfere with BackWPup?

    Hi @sphinxxxx
Sorry about the delayed response, so with BackWPUp, you can setup the job run with a link instead of wp-cron instead. Then using any online cron service or your server real cron to trigger the link, I think it should help ^^
For more information, please check out our section #2 here: https://backwpup.com/docs/starting-backup-job-immediately-or-scheduled/
