[resolved] Job Type Specific to Category (2 posts)

First off thank you for the fantastic plugin. My question:

Is it possible when using the category specific shortcode, like

    [jobs per_page="20" categories="human-resources"]

to only display the Job Types associated with that category?

For example, I may have 2 categories, 'human resources' and 'accounting'. Human resources will have job with types 'manager' and 'associate' Accounting will have jobs with types 'accounts payable' and 'accounts receivable'. When I use the category specific output, can I have it ONLY show the job type check boxes that have active job listings within that category?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't think that will be possible automatically because the taxonomies are unrelated to each other.

You'd need to override the job-filters template file and add your custom conditional logic there instead. Involves PHP code so will require a dev to customise.

    This is the template: https://github.com/mikejolley/WP-Job-Manager/blob/master/templates/job-filters.php
This is how to do overrides: https://github.com/mikejolley/WP-Job-Manager/wiki/Template-overrides
