Job submission company fields

    Hi there,

    it’s probably quite an easy fix. Right now, I can’t see the standard fields for a job submission, but I don’t recall where I changed/deleted fields? Also, the dropdown seems to be a non-standard feature – instead of a normal company text field?

    Hi!

    I took a look at your site; since your site uses the Jetpack plugin, and since Jetpack is owned by the same company that owns WP Job Manager (Automattic), I was able to see that you are using the wp-job-manager-company-listings plugin, so I suspect that the fields might be coming from there. Alternatively, you might also have followed our guide to override some of the fields:

    That’s all I can tell just by looking at the site. Hope that helps!

    that was really helpful, thank you. You were right – it is the company listings plugin impacting the WP Job Manager plugin. Is there a chance to prioritize which fields will be shown?

    Hi! Do you mean, to change the order? If so, then there is a way, but you’d have to use another plugin for that (not made by us):

    Hi Richard,

    I would like to keep the functionality of the standard WP Job Manager plugin, will having the possibility for users to view company listings etc. As of now, the second plugin influences the “normal” job submission view. Thus my question whether there is a chance to prioritize the standard functionality of the WP Job Manager plugin over the additional plugin. Does that make sense?

    We are currently in a phase of focusing on maintenance and bugfixes for WP Job Manager and its extensions, so enhancements like this aren’t likely to be implemented any time soon.

    Sorry I don’t have better news, but you can certainly file an enhancement request here: https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/new/choose
    That will ensure that our developers (and other users) see it.
