For some reason [jobs] is pulling regular blog posts underneath/after job listings. How can I limit it to just Job Listings? I have the latest version of the plugin installed.

Hi @soo7mi I haven’t heard of this being a problem before. Can you try changing your theme to a default WordPress theme to see if the issue persists?

@jonryan, I tried changing it to a default WP theme (twentyfifteen) and the same issue occurs. The list populates fine, but when you try searching for a keyword (e.g. marketing) the results populate jobs first and then wordpress posts.

It’s possible that there might be a conflict with one of your current plugins or your theme.

Try disabling all of your plugins except WP Job Manager (and add-ons). Then try testing again to see if the issue persists. If that resolves your issue, you can find what was causing it by enabling each plugin one by one while continuing to test.

@htdat I renamed the original plugins directory and just moved wp-job-manager into the plugins directory and no change. When you search for a keyword (e.g. marketing), it pulls both job posts as well as WP Posts.

    Hi,

If that doesn’t help, you can also try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme via Appearance > Themes, and test again. If the issue is resolved then you know it’s a problem with the theme, and you’ll need to contact the theme author for further assistance.

I am sorry. I did not ask for the link. Can you please send us?

    Cheers,
    Dat

@htdat As I noted above to @jonryan, I tried changing it to a default WP theme (twentyfifteen) and the same issue occurs, so it’s not the theme. The list populates fine, but when you try searching for a keyword (e.g. marketing) the results populate jobs first and then wordpress posts underneath them. Same goes for twentysixteen — I just installed and tested it.

Can I reach you directly via email? I don’t mind giving you access, but I’d prefer not to provide a public link at this time.

We do have the email support, but for the premium add-ons only https://wpjobmanager.com/product-category/core-add-ons/

In this case, can you set up a testing site, then we can have a look?

    Thanks.

If you search for “marketing” and scroll down, you’ll see what I mean. Just to recap, I’ve tested 2 native WP themes and I’ve also disabled all plugins except WP Job Manager and the problem still persists. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Actually, you’re still using the Jobify theme and other plugins.

We’d like to see a testing site, which you’re using a default theme like TwentySeventeen and other plugins.

Based on what I can see on your site, the search query by WP Job Manage is modified by other theme/plugins. But I can not say exactly where it is.

If you can set up a brand new testing site with just a default theme and no other plugins (just WPJM) and the issue is still there, we might have a look,

    Thanks.

I figured it out. It was a specific conflicting plugin issue and I had to turn off caching in wp-job-manager-functions.php temporarily in order to catch it. Thanks for your prompt responses/help. Closing this out.
