    Hi there!

If you temporarily switch themes to one of the WordPress defaults (like Twenty Sixteen), does the problem still happen?

If so, it might be an issue with some JavaScript code in your current theme.

    Let me know, thanks! 🙂

Hmm when I originally wrote this post I had only tested it on my work laptop running Windows 7. I am on a Mac now and it is working for me now. With my theme and with Twenty Sixteen. I wonder if my work laptop had some javascript features blocked or something.

Sorry about that. What kind of javascript code should I be on the lookout for in my theme just in case its happening for someone else?

Actually now that I double check, the problem still occurs in chrome and IE even using Twenty Sixteen theme. Safari is the only browser where it shows up correctly. What should I be looking for in the Javascript that would be causing this?

Ahhhh I found the stinking problem. One of my plug-ins (Autoptimize) was compressing the JS or something and causing it to act strangely. I deactiviated that plug-in and it works now.

glad you found the solution kleypie, but the better solution would be to exclude just the right JS from autoptimization. there’s more info in the AO faq on how to troubleshoot such problems, do let me know if anything is not clear!

    have fun,

Thank you Frank! That is a way better solution. AO was making my site a lot faster and I didnt want to see it go. Added wp-job-manager to the exclusion list and it works. Thanks again!

Glad to hear you got things working!

Let me know if there’s anything else you need. 🙂 Thanks!
