Job board users

My client says: There seems to be an issue with the jobs board for users who have an account. They are unable to log in to edit any job posts they make, or take them down once filled. Right now they can only log in to make a new post. 

Have you had any issues with this? I have had the jobs board on my site for years with it all working properly – any ideas? I have not added any plugins recently – I did upgrade the php a month or so ago.

So when I log back in with the employer login – it goes to my profile, not the dashboard – how do I change that?

Are your users navigating to the Job Dashboard page to manage their listings? That’s where they can view, edit, and remove their posted jobs. You can learn more about how it works here:

I checked my site, and the Job Dashboard page itself appears to be working correctly. Here’s what I see on my test site:

not helpful. When someone logs in as an employer – then I have to give then the link to the jobs dashboard page? Why doesn’t it go there automatically?

@reikob that’s a good question! Some would have a custom setup, or would rely on the default login process (depending on their requirements).

In your case, it sounds like adding a redirect after login might make more sense. You can follow the guidelines on how to add a redirect to the job dashboard as per https://wpjobmanager.com/document/developer-reference/code-snippets/changing-login-redirects/

If you need assistance with implementing that, you can look into a service like http://jobs.wordpress.net/

Those snippets are giving me a custom login redirect – I need the login for people logging in as an Employer to go not to their WordPress profile, but to the dashboard of job. I created that page, but it automatically goes to the post a job page – please try logging into my site and testing.

The snippet is to give you an idea of how to implement this, but it will require tweaks for your exact requirement.

That kind of customization extends out of our scope of support (since it is not a default feature in WP Job Manager), so we recommend you hire a developer if you need assistance with the changes.
