• I did a clean install of WP 4.5.3 in WPMU mode via my web hosts one-click installer (used it before with no problems, it saves configuring WPMU myself), set up a couple of sub-sites, then tried connecting Jetpack – no joy, got the infamous XML_RPC-32700 error.
I’ve disabled all plugins and themes, no luck, still getting the error.
Did a bit of digging into likely looking problem files, but didn’t find any problems with whitespace.
My webhost recently had a server crash which took my site down pretty much as soon as I installed it, so I was thinking maybe it corrupted something somewhere, so just did a clean install of WP 4.6 in WPMU mode, didn’t set up any plugins, themes, or sub-sites, and whaddya know, Jetpack still throws up an error.
    Any thoughts?
Will doing a clean install without WPMU and manually converting help, or is there something else going on?

    Thanks for any help.

Okay, just done a clean install of WP 4.6 (no WPMU), haven’t applied any updates or installed any themes or plugins, and Jetpack still throws up an error when trying to connect.
    Any ideas?
