# Jetpack –> WordPress.com

 * Hi, I used jetpack for some times but after the last issues with the publicize
   accounts not working correctly, I followed the guidelines suggesting to unlink
   and relink the main account to wordpress.com
 * While the dot was green before the unlink, once i tried to bind them together
   again I started to receive this error:
 * > Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This
   > usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
   > couldn’t connect to host
 * I checked my XML-RPC and everything seems ok.

   I contacted my host and they said that from what they can see everything is ok
   from their side, but if I’m able to provide the exact addresses/IPs involved 
   in the contacting process they can assure me to put them in whitelist to avoid
   any further issues. Can someone help me in this?

 * Can you please try installing the Jetpack Compatibility Plugin so we can see 
   some additional information from your site?
 * 1) Download the plugin from [http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/jetpack/branches/jetpack-compatibility-test.zip](http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/jetpack/branches/jetpack-compatibility-test.zip)
   
   2) Upload the plugin to your site via Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New. 3) Activate
   the plugin and go to Plugins -> Jetpack Compatibility Test. 4) Click the “Select
