# Jetpack WordPress.COM stats vs. Google Analytics

 * I am working to try to simplify my site and reduce the number of plugins I have
   activated and I am trying to understand if I need both Jetpack’s WordPress.com
   stats and Google Analytics.
 * I have both of these on my dashboard, but they seem to give similar data, so 
   I am wondering if I am better off just focusing on one.
 * What is the difference in the stats given by Jetpack’s wordpess.com stats vs.
   Google Analytics.

 * That’s really up to you. The 2 services are similar, but Google Analytics is 
   a lot more advanced: it offers in-depth analytics about your readers’ browsers,
   OS, allows you to run funnel analyses to understand what your readers do on the
   site, and more.
 * If you use any of these extra features, you’ll need to keep Google Analytics 
   around.
 * It’s worth noting that since both plugins rely on third-party servers to calculate
   your stats, you can safely keep both plugins around: that won’t have a strong
   impact on your site’s performance.
