Hi Support, I Have tried installing jet pack numerous times, reinstalling etc. but it wont connect to wordpress, i get the following error:
“Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32700
    Try connecting again.
Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure http://www.multi.co.za/main/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show ‘XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only.’ on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.”

I then try again and get this error:

“Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
    name lookup timed out”

The strange thing is jetpack works perfectly on my blog website in a subfolder and i have contacted my web host but they say to try support here?

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately, that file includes some extra characters that block your XML-RPC file from Jetpack, and other plugins and apps such as the mobile apps:
    http://www.multi.co.za/main/xmlrpc.php

Everything coming after XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only. on that page is either added by your theme, by one of your plugins, or is added directly into your site’s wp-config.php file.

Could you try to deactivate each one of your plugins, one at a time, until these extra characters disappear? If that doesn’t help, you’ll want to switch to one of the default themes, like Twenty Thirteen, for a few minutes, to make sure it’s not caused by your theme.

Once you’ve managed to remove these characters, you should be able to connect Jetpack to your WordPress.com account.

    I hope this helps.
