 * When I went to update yesterday, the entire Jetpack plugin disappeared from my
   WP dashboard.
 * I apparently lost all past stats, including list of email followers, as well
   as the form on my site for signing up to notification.
 * When I try to reinstall the plugin, I get error message: Installation failed:
   Destination folder already exists. I don’t know how to find that folder, and
   I’m hoping my data is still in there in the background somewhere.
 * What do I do now?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fjetpack-update-deleted-the-plugin%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hi [@iska88](https://wordpress.org/support/users/iska88/) –
 * I’m sorry for the difficulty that you are having.
 * If you have access to your server (such as via FTP), you can delete the `/wp-
   content/plugins/jetpack` folder and then reinstall and reconnect Jetpack. Otherwise,
   you can reach out to your hosting provider to have them help remove the folder.
 * You shouldn’t lose any settings or any of your stats or subscribers in doing
   so, as that info is stored in our system here.

 * Thank you, @bobmatyas – indeed that did the trick. I found the file, deleted
   it, reinstalled Jetpack, and voila, all the stats, subscribers, and form were
   back. Relief here.
