[Resolved] Jetpack translation (Twitter)

  • Hello,

In the Twitter Widget by Jetpack, I would need to have “Retweeted by”, “Show Summary”, “Expand”, etc… translated to another language then english. I’ve been searching the po file for this strings but I couldn’t find them. Is it possible to translate those parts of the plugin? and if yes, where?

    Thank you in advance,
    Anne-Sophie

The widget language is actually automatically changed once you change the language of your WordPress installation, as explained here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language

The strings themselves cannot be found in the Jetpack plugin, though. The timeline widget is embedded from Twitter, and the strings are translated by the Twitter community here:
    https://translate.twitter.com/welcome
If you’ve already changed your site language, and if the strings are still not translated, you will wan to propose new translations via this page.

Hello Jeremy, thank you for your explanations. I will have a look at those links. Regards.

    Hello Jeremy,

I searched the Twitter community and actually, the strings are translated (there are basic ones such as “Reply” or “Expamd” or “Show summary” so they are in catalan), but they are not showing translated on the widget.
Any clue about how it comes?

    Thank you in advance.
