    Jetpack and the subscription feature were working fine for me until a couple of weeks ago when it just stopped sending out emails for no apparent reason. Now each time I do a post no email goes out. Any ideas please?

  • I replied to that email today, before I posted here. I haven’t received a response.

    My subscriptions have stopped working too. Two days down now. Tried disconnecting and re-connecting my site and signing up for the newsletter subscription service. Both worked in the past, neither work now.

    We are also having the problem of emails not going out. Compounded with the problem that new subscribers aren’t even being added. I just tested with an email which was not on the list, as shown in my wordpress.com/people/email-followers/blogs.hope.edu::stories-of-hope dashboard view. I added the email from the widget, was told it was successful, never received a confirmation email, and the address is not on the list of people. The complaint began when two people in my department stated that they had not received post emails, but had subscribed. They are also not on the list.

    @hopetommola The form appears to be working on your site. I subscribed, received a confirmation email a few seconds later, confirmed my subscription, and you can now see my email address in your subscriber list.

    It’s worth noting that confirmation emails are only sent once, so if you previously attempted to subscribe but never clicked on the link in the confirmation email, you won’t receive a new email if you use the subscription form again today.

    If you’d like, you can send me an email via this contact form and mention this thread, as well as a few examples of the email addresses that didn’t receive a confirmation email. I’ll be happy to take a look at our email logs to find out what happened.

    I have provided an example email via the contact form. From a user / function perspective, I would offer the feedback that if a user did not confirm their subscription, and attempt to subscribe again, the email should indeed be re-sent.

    This problem seems to be back in Jetpack v. 5.0 on WordPress v. 4.8

    @mr-z-1 Can you submit a ticket via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/ ? There are a variety of issues that could cause this, but there weren’t specific changes in 5.0 that should be impacting it.

    My sister subscribed to my blog on my self-hosted WordPress.org site and she did not receive the confirmation email. So I went in and subscribed again with her gmail email address and she still did not receive the confirmation email. I have JetPack plugin installed on my site. I checked for email followers under the JetPack Discussion tab in the dashboard and it says I don’t have any followers. Can someone please help?!!
