    Good day,

we experience strange effects on a news webpage. While GA reports 150 clocks, Matomo calculates 34 visitors and Jetpack doesn’t show a click to our latest news.

What is disturbing JETPACK to calculate the visitors correctly?

When opening the Post Overview, the latest post is clicked several dozen times, not only by logged in users. Jetpack reports still zero.

Don’t misunderstand me, Jetpak does report some traffic, but it seems totally irrational.

Hi there, are you still seeing 0 visits for Jetpack? I’m seeing numbers similar to what you reported.

As for why they’re off by a little, we have an explanation here:

Jetpack stats and Google Analytics use different methods to identify and track activity on your site. You can expect Google Analytics and Jetpack stats to always show slightly different totals for your visits, views, etc. However, you will be able to notice the same trends and patterns in both systems.

Basically it boils down to what we count as a significant visit, vs what someone else counts (how we determine which traffic is from bots, etc.)

    I hope this helps!

    Hi,
really strange. The article was read a hundred times in linkedin so it is most likely that a few dozen click on it. While in the post overview WordPress reports 40 views, GA has another number but Jetpack is down at 9 views. I guess three times I check the article myself with my mobile (not logged in).

Is there any misbehaviour known when using W3T Cache or other plugins, that could influence your tracking?

We’re not aware of such thing. As @supernovia already metioned Jetpack Stats counts visits differently than other tools.
