• I’ve read a few threads out there similar to this, but none are recent or cover my issue specifically.

Recently I backed up my production wp db to my local environment and in doing so my production site requested that I reconnect to WordPress.com. When I did that all of my stats and subscribers were erased and my local install started tracking stats that should have gone to my production site.

Reading through the forums I found similar issues with solutions involving manually changing the wp_options table. I followed them and my production stats are back and still tracking, however I just published a new post and none of my subscribers were notified.

Yesterday I contacted WordPress.com support but have yet to hear back. Can anyone out there offer any solutions/other avenues for support?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Yes, it is on the server side. Jetpack has associated my blog with the new id on WordPress side, that’s why I am desperately trying to contact their support with no luck.

Whatever I do, I can’t fix this unless I get help from WordPress. Thank you for trying to help, it’s much appreciated.

I know what kind of frustration this brings, hang in there! I got the reply from support_at_wordpress.com..

Well, sent the 3rd mail a few hours ago. I hope that they will reply this time.

Today, WordPress support replied and corrected my issue. My old blog id stays the same after deactivating and reactivating Jetpack connection. Yay!

I just had this same problem on my site. I created a local version of my site and everything was working fine until I accidentally disconnected jetpack from my live site. When I reconnected the stats were reset. I did change the IDs and got my old stats back, but now my subscribers aren’t being notified of new posts.

Is the best bet to try to contact wordpress.com support? Since I’m totally new at this, I don’t know what to do first.

@wolflorion this thread is quite old, also it is best to start your own thread.

Also having the same problem. I have already contacted support by email but they have not responded yet. What is the best way to pursue the resolution?

I have a similar issue I had to reinstall Jetpack and now i am seeing completely new stats in the dashboard, I see my old stats on the WordPress site and I would like to use my old stats I do not want to merge them just use the old stats is this possible anyone. I have read numerous threads with no solution.

@garvyite – please start your own thread – in the jetpack specific sub-forum – the form is at the bottom of this page: http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack.

This thread is very outdated so it’s not a good place to get assistance. Further the forums track issues by topic, so by tacking onto an old thread, it hinders that process.
