Support » Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com » Jetpack slows down and even crashes my site

    Even on a previous version, Jetpack kept crashing my site, and now almost everyday I have downtime because of Jetpack. If I disable this plugin (I only have the sharing + statistics enabled from it), the site loads very quickly and with no problem (but I need to use third party sharing and stats plugins), but after enabling it – and I checked with the bluehosting support about this – it slows down the site and crashes it almost daily.

    Is there any known conflict between jetpack and other plugins, like Yoast or optimize / amp?

    Thanks, guys.

  • Jetpack is crashing my site as well. I’m using SiteOrgin Pagebuilder.

    Same thing happened to my site, yesterday I disable the plugin and its working faster. When I was using JP on my site, It was 150 Load on my server after disabling, server load comes to 3. I only use JP Stats nothing else.

    Sorry about all the trouble!

    Jetpack works well with those plugins. The list of current incompatibilities is available here:
    https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/known-issues/

    after enabling it it slows down the site and crashes it almost daily.

    Could you add the following to your site’s wp-config.php file?

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    if ( WP_DEBUG ) {

            @error_reporting( E_ALL );
            @ini_set( 'log_errors', true );
            @ini_set( 'log_errors_max_len', '0' );

            define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
            define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
            define( 'CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );
            define( 'SAVEQUERIES', true );

    }

    Your wp-config.php file may already include a line that says “define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);”. You can remove it, and replace it by the code above.

    Once you’ve done so, wait until the next crash and then check the wp-content/debug.log file for errors. You can paste the results here. You can then replace define('WP_DEBUG', true); by define('WP_DEBUG', false); in the code above.

    Those results should help us understand what is causing the issue on your site.

    @everwill @lahorimela Could you please start your own threads, as per the Forum Welcome?

    It would also be helpful if you tried the steps I mentioned above and post the results in your own thread.

    Thank you!

    True, get rid of Jetpack, it’s not necessary and just makes your website slower
