For several years we successfully used Jetpack Publicize to automatically publish posts to our social media accounts. Since installing Wordfence, Jetpack Publicize has stopped working.

We get an error -32300 from Publicize.

    Please advise.

  • Hi @springwaterwealth,

Can you check Wordfence -> Tools -> Live Traffic?

It should list why the connection is getting blocked, for example:

    View post on imgur.com

From there we can go into additional settings to unblock or whitelist the JetPack connection.

I had the same issue. I asked for support from Automattic and they replied that XML-RPC is blocked by a security plugin installed on my WordPress site. I found out that the restriction comes from modifying the .htaccess file when installing Wordfence. I didn’t go further, but at least I know the reason.

    Hi @rox32,

Yes, that is also a good place to check (.htaccess) to see if there were any blocks to xmlrpc.php` placed in there.
