I’m a little late coming to the game on this thread, but I’m having the same problem as those in a previous forum thread entitled “New Blog Subscribers Not Showing Up”. I started a new thread for my question because that original thread has been marked as resolved.
So here’s my problem; once I moved to a self-hosted WP.org blog, I’m not seeing my old subscribers/followers on the new WP.org blog, plus I’m not getting any new subscribers/followers, which is odd, b/c I used to get several a day, and then all of a sudden…nothing. BTW, I use Jetpack for all my site stats on my WP.org blog.
I actually made the switch a year ago last June, and I’ve been putting up with this problem for quite a while, until I stumbled upon the resolved “New Blog Subscribers Not Showing Up” forum thread.
I see from that thread, that new followers may be signing up via my old WP.com blog (it’s still public) and that the solution to this is to make the old WP.com private via Settings. I’m reluctant to make my old WP.com site private b/c it’s also redirected to http://www.nonsensetomomsense.com URL and I’m worried that making my old wp.com private will somehow screw up public access to my new wp.org site. Does that make sense?
Any help is much appreciated.
