Jetpack not activated due to fatal error

    I have tried to install Jetpack from two different browsers, two different websites and two different computers.

    I get the following error every time.

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘5.4’ in /hermes/bosnaweb24a/b1324/ipg.jfdeweycom/playgolfstore/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php on line 2411 Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /hermes/bosnaweb24a/b1324/ipg.jfdeweycom/playgolfstore/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php on line 2411

    I even tried downloading the plugin and installing that way but I got the same error.
