I have been using WordPress Mobile Pack before today, however it would display the entire index page in a much smaller form. I switched to the Mobile Pack within JetPack but now only see the page title and a search box when viewing the website on my iphone.

How can I get the rest of the headers and text to display on a mobile device using Jetpack?

Could you go to Settings > Reading in your dashboard, and let me know what your settings are? Do you use a static front page as described here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

    Front Page displays Latest Post
Blog Pages Show at most 10
    Syndication feeds 10
For each article in a feed, show full text
    Search Engine Visibility unchecked

No I do not use a static page as described, I use a theme whose front page is not listed on the Pages.

That’s indeed the issue. If you use a Static Front Page, it should be set under Settings > Reading in your dashboard. Otherwise, the Mobile Theme will try to display a list of your most recent blog posts.

If your theme doesn’t allow you to use the default WordPress Reading settings, I’m afraid you won’t be able to use both your desktop theme and Jetpack’s Mobile Theme.

    I hope this helps.

That did help, thanks for you assistance!
