# Jetpack JSON API – "error":"jetpack_response_error"

 * Hi,
 * I’m doing the following:
    GET [https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1/sites/715xxxxx](https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1/sites/715xxxxx)(
   The siteID is slightly obscured in this message) With a header containing authorisation…
 * I get the following:
    “error”:”jetpack_response_error”,”message”:”The Jetpack
   site encountered an error and could not process the API request.”
 * The call I do prior to the above (in order to get the siteID) with the same authorisation
   works correctly:
    GET [https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1/me](https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1/me)
 * The error above is from a customer’s blog – if I connect to my own I do not get
   the error and the calls work as expected.
 * What could be the problem?

 * That’s most likely because that site is not properly connected to a WordPress.
   com account at the moment.
 * Could you go the Jetpack menu in your client’s dashboard, scroll down to the 
   bottom of the page, and click on “Disconnect from WordPress.com”? Once you’ve
   done so you’ll be able to reconnect to WordPress.com by clicking on the connect
   button at the top of the page.
 * If you continue to experience issues once the site is properly connected, could
   you send us more details about the site and your app via this form?
