I couldn’t see any duplicates there, did you remove them.
If not, which title should I look for?
I did delete them, several customers were complaining. I also had several posts that were sharing the wrong image to Facebook so I uninstalled Jetpack again and decided to stick with what was working. I’m marking this as resolved.

Ok, if you ever try Jetpack instead, and it’s still happening, please use something like https://snipboard.io/ to share a screenshot. That should be all we need.
I am experiencing the same thing on our site http://theology.news. We use wordpress.com’s hosting and are a news aggregate site. We pull academic journal table of contents from publishers when new publications drop and post them on our site, we then try to use Jetpack to push the new posts out to Facebook/Twitter. Especially on Facebook, Jetpack will post the item twice….
If you look at our page facebook.com/theologynews you will see that a recent announcement from University of St. Andrews is double posted.

Help!
I don’t know if this will help but I switched my hosting from GoDaddy to SiteGround and my problems went away. I haven’t had any issues with the wrong image being used or items being posted twice.
@theologicalnews, for help with a site hosted at WordPress.com can you get in touch directly at https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ ? Support can help with your settings and what not there.
And thank you @michaelcallaway. That makes me wonder if there was just a timeout issue in your case.
I wouldn’t be surprised. To put it nicely, almost every problem I had went away when I switched hosts and my site has never been faster.
I’ve been having this problem with Jetpack posting twice on Twitter.
E.g. see https://twitter.com/sabhlok/status/1249904713786687493 and https://twitter.com/sabhlok/status/1249904709915291648
I’ve disconnected and re-connected Jetpack – doesn’t help
