# Jetpack is missing after update

 * Hello,
 * After I updated WordPress to 4.6.1 Jetpack has gone missing. It is not listed
   anywhere on my site on under installed plugins. When I go to try and click Install
   Now, it said that it Failed due to the destination file already existing. I am
   clueless on coding, and have done all of the WordPress 4.6 known things to try
   to fix any issues.
 * How can I fix this?

 * Hi there! Can you please reinstall the Jetpack plugin manually? To do so, download
   the Jetpack plugin here:
    [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.latest-stable.zip](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.latest-stable.zip)
 * Then, log in to your site via FTP, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder.
   You should then be able to reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions
   here:
    [http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation](http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation)
 * I would strongly recommend that you make a complete backup of your website before
   trying this.
