JetPack Form Block Creating Fatal Error

    All the pages on my website where I use the form block now have this error:

    Recoverable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in /home/dhosting.com/deborah86/lazyjack.blog/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1098
    There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

    How do I fix it?

    Hi there

    Are you still having trouble with this? I couldn’t find any Jetpack contact forms on your site. Could you provide a link to a page containing the form, so we can see the error message?

    I am still experiencing this error. I deleted the pages with the forms because they just displayed the error. I created new pages without the forms.

    My issue is not resolved. I am waiting for a fix to the block editor. The website is https://lazyjack.blog. I have removed the form block because the pages with the form block will not load. If a user visits these pages, an error is displayed to them.

    Hello, there.

    We would only be able to help troubleshoot the error if we could see it in action.

    Would you be able to create a page with a form block just for testing, one that’s not on your menu (so your viewers won’t be finding it by accident) and then send us the link to that page? Then we can have a look. Thanks!

    I created a page but I am not sure if it is visible. Like I stated before, I am unable to create new pages with the form block because the pages won’t save or publish. You can test if you can access the page below.

    I can see the issue in action on your site, and I wonder if it may be a conflict between Jetpack’s form feature and the custom theme currently active on your site. Could you try to switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty One for a few minutes, and see if the error remains?

    Here is what I see on your site right now:

    It looks like the sfwd-lms plugin you use on your site overwrites the active theme and sets up its own custom theme instead of the default one.

    @jeherve That is for the LearnDash plugin. I will contact them. It is a paid plug-in I use.

    I am having this issue on a new website that I don’t have linked to my JetPack account. The contact form is causing a fatal error. LearnDash is not installed on this website.

    I checked your site and currently, the Jetpack is not connected. However, I can see Jetpack in the debug information that you have provided. Is the issue again appearing with Jetpack Form Block?

    • Did you try to check after deactivating all plugins except Jetpack?
    • Did you get the same result? Could you please share the error that you got? Please copy and paste the full error.

    Yes

    Did you try to check after deactivating all plugins except Jetpack?
    Yes. The If-So plugin seems to conflict with the JetPack form block.
