# Jetpack Error

   > usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host. couldn’t
   > connect to host
 * I am running a WordPress-powered site through the SourceForge.net Project Web.
   I uploaded WordPress through SFTP, then JetPack to `wp-content/plugins`. Then
   I had two problems:
    1. None of the wordpress files are writable. (The dirs are `755`, files `644`
    2. When I try to connect JetPack, I get the error message shown above.
 * Any tips of either of these problems?

 * The first thing to check would be your xmlrpc file. What do you get when you 
   go to [http://example.com/xmlrpc.php](http://example.com/xmlrpc.php) (replacing
   example.com with your URL)?

 * It says `XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.`

 * Yes. [http://acmd.sf.net](http://acmd.sf.net). The WordPress files reside at 
   [http://acmd.sf.net/wordpress](http://acmd.sf.net/wordpress). I might take it
   down if I cannot fix this problem.

 * Yes I did. I have set up quite a few WordPress sites before, but this is the 
   first time to use SourceForge’s Project Web.

 * It is possible that SourceForge is blocking something. Could you try contacting
   them and asking them if they block XMLRPC or are firewalling any particular ports?

 * You can re install it. It may works. If it failed the you should remove all your
   non important plugin or you can restore your WP after taken a Backup.

 * Looks like SourceForge.net [don’t allow outbound connectivity](https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/wiki/Project%20web%20and%20developer%20web%20platform#Outboundconnectivity).
