    Hey y’all,
I am trying to figure out how I can remove an email address from my JetPack email subscription list? Is there any way to clean out email addresses that have been deleted?

I have a subscriber who changed emails without unsubscribing the old one, and I would prefer to delete or update the old email address. Is this possible? Or is there a better plugin I should use?

    Thanks!

I’m afraid that’s not possible. Only the subscribers themselves can unsubscribe or change their subscription settings. Your reader should be able to subscribe again by entering their new email address in the subscription form on your site.

Ah, thanks Jeremy. What a bummer!

The subscriber had reached out to me asking to change it. Is it possible to have something built in to handle this issue in the future? I think it would certainly be useful!!

That’s not on our roadmap at the moment, but I took note of your suggestion, and we’ll consider it.

    Thanks for your feedback!

    Sure thing!

The subscribe option of Jetpack sounded like a great idea, and I installed it on the local information website I run.

A few local people have signed up, but most of my subscribers look like they have automatically generated random or at least disposable hotmail ids.
I suspect they are not real people.

    1. It would be nice to be able to delete obviously fake ids.
    2. The sign-up form needs an anti-robot checking feature (like AntiSpam Bee for example).
    3. I’d like the option to approve subscriptions in the same way you can configure WordPress to require comment approval before publication.

Otherwise I may consider disabling Jetpack subscription and looking for other options.

    +1 on that!
