I don’t want to make any assumptions, but I’m taking over a site that was done in WordPress that has Jetpack installed. I can see stats for the last 30 days and then see the general stats for specific months but I can’t see any daily stats outside of 30 days or for a custom date range. I don’t have the WordPress.com login info yet so I haven’t checked if the WordPress.com stats allow this but does Jetpack not allow custom date ranges for daily stats?

does Jetpack not allow custom date ranges for daily stats?

Yes, that’s possible. You can go to Jetpack > Site Stats and then click on “Summaries” to get to different views.

You can also use the Stats API if you’re interested in building reports with more details:
    http://stats.wordpress.com/csv.php
You will, however, need to authenticate with an account having access to the stats.

    I hope this helps.

I was looking more for a daily breakdown. I need to know the visits from a particular day but it’s outside the current 30 day window. The summaries don’t help in that regard. I’ll look into the API and any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

You can also look at specific days. For example, to look at the post views on October 15th of this year, you’d look at this page:

    http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats&view=postviews&numdays=1&day=2014-10-15

So there’s no way to access that page from the dashboard without manually editing the URL for the date requested? This will work in the meantime, but I’d recommend some kind of UI element to change the date or to input a custom date.

    Thanks!

That’s correct. We plan on improving that page, but in the meantime you’ll need to “url-hack” to get specific reports.

    Thanks for the feedback!
