The sales funnel graphic located on the Jetpack CRM dashboard is incorrect and looks wired/funny.

I only have two contacts so far and it is showing a number 2 in all five layers of the sales funnel. Both contacts are customers and the rest of the layers in the funnel should be zero.

Additionally, the side edges of each of the sales funnel layers are supposed to be wider at the top and narrower at the bottom of each layer and look smooth. For some reason the layers are upside down and looked jagged at each layer.

Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

  • Hi @jjduro ,

To help us understand what you’re seeing, could you provide us with a screenshot?

You could upload your screenshot to https://snipboard.io/ and link it here.

    Hi @jjduro!

Could you please provide screenshots of what you’re seeing on your end? You can use this https://snipboard.io/ to upload your screenshots and share the link/s here with us.

Also, just to confirm, do you have the paid Jetpack CRM Funnels extension?

    Thank you!

I do not have any paid plugins. See link below:

Please note: that I just have only 3 contacts (all are customers) in the system at this point and for some reason they show up in each layer of the funnel.

    Hi @jjduro

Thank you for the screenshot! I can see that you’re referring to the CRM Dashboard Sales Funnel section, and I see what you’re describing.

Can you share a bit more about how you have added the contacts? Were the customers added manually, or via a form? Have customers’ statuses change from something else (such as “Lead”)?

It also seems like you have custom statuses (“Proposal”, “Draft Design”, “Development”, etc), is that correct?

    https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/knowledge-base/custom-statuses/

If so, how are you adding these statuses?

More information you can share, the better! I’d like to replicate your setup so we can reproduce the issue you’re seeing and determine where it went wrong.

    Thanks!

Customers were all added manually. There is no form on the site.
This is a brand new (child) multisite.
Yes I customized the status names using the same instructions you referenced.

Contact Statuses: Lead,Proposal,Design,Development,Customer,Refused,Blacklisted,Cancelled by Customer,Cancelled by Us (Pre-Quote),Cancelled by Us (Post-Quote)

    Funnel Statuses: Lead,Proposal,Design,Development,Customer

Here’s what the current funnel looks like:

    There’s no custom coding.

    Hi @jjduro,

I see what you mean. I was able to reproduce this issue by doing the following:

    – Create two Contacts with status Customer
    – Change Contact status settings to Lead,Proposal,Design,Development,Customer,Refused,Blacklisted,Cancelled by Customer,Cancelled by Us (Pre-Quote),Cancelled by Us (Post-Quote)
    – Change Funnel status settings to Funnel Statuses: Lead,Proposal,Design,Development,Customer

Then, I saw 2 across all levels of funnel statuses in the same way you have observed.

I have escalated this issue to our developer team to investigate further. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more! Thanks.

    Hi @jjduro ,

    > Both contacts are customers and the rest of the layers in the funnel should be zero

To answer this bit: this behavior is somewhat expected. If a Contact is a Customer, it would automatically backfill the other statuses. This is discussed a bit on this page:

    https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/knowledge-base/crm-funnels/ (under “Funnel Back Filling”)

For example, let’s say there are three funnel statuses, with the following numbers representing the contacts currently in a status:

    Lead: 10 contacts
    Contacted: 20 contacts
    Customer: 2 contacts

    The funnel would show:

    Lead: 32 (10+20+2)
    Contacted: 22 (20+2)
    Customer: 2

When a contact’s status is Customer, it backfills the count to previous (Contacted and Lead, in this example) statuses.

So, that explains why the funnel is showing ‘3’ (at the time you had 3 Contact/Customers), but not it’s appearance, which is rather unusual. 🙂

We’ve reported both issues to our developers for fixes; a) to make the back-filling more clearly documented, and b) to fix the appearance.

Happy to let you know once we have further information to report on this.

    Best,
    Cena
