My Jetpack went missing about a week ago and I really miss it. Perhaps, I need to find another stat application.

I tried to reinstall it and this is the message I received. I don’t see this plugin in my list of plugins.

    Installing Plugin: Jetpack by 2.9.3
    Downloading install package from…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/86/10626486/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/

    Plugin install failed.

  • Having the same problem. Anyone out there know what’s going on?

I learned that Jetpack was removed/deactivated from all WordPress sites on 4/11/14, probably due to the big security weakness. My site is self hosted on GoDaddy and they showed me how to remove jetpack from my site and then reinstall from within WordPress. All is well now with Jetpack, although I did loose about 8 days of stats on my site.

I just wish people would use their energy for good, not evil. I swear this evil making will destroy us.

I’m trying to re-download the plug in but it says it’s already in my files. (Destination folder already exists) Anyone know how to get rid of those files??

I have this problem too from the 11th April and I have tried deleting the files from my server (it is hosted by 123-reg) and reinstalling but it is still saying the destination folder already exists when I try to reinstall. I’ve lost nearly two weeks worth of stats from my site, and it is very annoying!

Found a partial solution to this, hope it helps someone.

I had to log in to my FTP with CyberDuck and follow the path of the destination folder. I deleted Jetpack, refreshed CyberDuck, then went to WP admin and refresh my Plugins. Then went to redownload JetPack.

My stats still say 0….but at least it’s their problem now and not an issue with JetPack seemingly disappearing from my blog.

Hopefully they get their poop in a group soon.
