• I just installed Jetpack comments on a testing installation, and it worked very well. Then I put it on my production site, and leaving a comment gives you a 401 Unauthorized Error if you’re not logged in. Also, when I test it, I get a very strange popup saying something like an IP address is asking for a name and email from my router. Very odd.

I’ve read of some similar problems around here. The only comment related plugin I have is Antispam Bee, but deactivating it didn’t help.

My site is https, and I’m wondering if that’s the issue. None of my others are, and I’d guess the vast majority of WordPress sites are not.

On a side note, what spam plugins do work with Jetpack comments? I’ve had a lot of false positives with Akismet and others that rely on public databases, which is why I use Antispam Bee.
