Jetpack v9.4 causing an error in Metaslider. Producing a large unwanted white space, blank space between the image and the dots.
These slides were working fine a few days ago. I use Metaslider on several sites using the same settings, using the same theme, all of them still work fine, except https://www.coolumartgroupinc.com.au/
The same issue is here: https://www.coolumartgroupinc.com.au/exhibitions/
I have looked on different browsers and even different computers.
That slider has been working fine for 5 months until last week. The theme was not updated recently, it last updated in October 2020.

So I deactivated all plugs, that fixed it. I activated then one by one, Jetpack is the problem. BUT I use this same configuration of plugs and theme, including JetPack, on several sites without any problems. Those other sites use Jetpack image acceleration, I tried running Jetpack without the image acceleration it still produced the white space error.
Jetpack is currently deactivated on this site.
MetaSlider support advises me to contact Jetpack.

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble, but thanks for reaching out. Since Jetpack is currently disabled on your site, that makes it a little tough for us to troubleshoot.

Could you try temporarily re-enabling Jetpack? While active, disable Jetpack’s Lazy Images feature:

    https://jetpack.com/support/lazy-images/

Then, see if the issue persists. That will allow us to see if Lazy Images is related to the issue here.

Please let us know how that works for you, and we can go from there!

    Difficult.
How do I explain to the client that the error is back?
I could get away with a brief period but how can I sync that with your investigation?
I tried disabling lazy images, that has solved the problem.

Glad to hear that you were able to solve the problem by deactivating lazy images.

I haven’t been able to reproduce the same issue using Metaslider and lazy images, but if you can send specific steps we can take to reproduce the issue, we’d be happy to investigate further. Otherwise I’ll mark this as resolved since you found a solution.

    Thanks!

    What Specific steps?
As mentioned in the original post, I use Metaslider on several sites using the same settings, using the same theme, all of them still work fine. Same plug-ins on most.
    Same server.

I meant can you tell us the settings you use and the steps you take to add a slider. But if you use the same settings on other sites, then that probably won’t help.

Unless we know how to reproduce the issue consistently, it will be difficult to come up with a fix.

If you’re unable to identify the specific configuration of plugins/settings that is causing the issue on this site only, then you may prefer to just keep Lazy Images deactivated so the images will display.
