Jetpack Carousel – Scrolls To Top

Hello everyone,

I’m very new to WordPress development (& front-end development) and I’m going round in circles trying to fix what I believe is a small bug.

I’ve been using Naked Theme as the base theme for my theme & appear to have an issue with the Jetpack Carousel; when its click it opens up fine & displays the image but at the same time is also scrolls the page back to the top.

I wonder if this is clashing with FitVids JS; as if I disable FitVids then the carousel window doesn’t come out at all & the image doesn’t respond to the page correctly. This believes me to think that its those two causing the issue.

I have spent a few hours over the past few days going around in circles & would really appreciate any pointers to fixing the issue. I did note that both tiled-gallery.js & jQuery.FitVids.js both start with function($). I tried changing the function name but that resulted in errors (I may have been doing that incorrectly; I’m still at the beginning stages of learning about JS & jQuery).
