# Jetpack can't connect

 * I’ve just started to use wordpress.org and tried to set up the JetPack that was
   provided with my GoDaddy subscription/hosting
 * I have been getting same message throughout the past day or so:
 * > Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This
   > usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
   > Operation timed out after 15000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
 * This seems a bit strange since it was a service provided by GoDaddy so it should
   be unlikely that they wouldn’t be compatible with eachother?
 * Anyone had this problem recently and have a fix for it?

 * Judging from the JetPack forum – lots of people are having this issue today –
   [http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack](http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack)
 * Might be a JetPack issue. I’d suggest that you wait a while and try it again.
   If it still doesn’t work, **start your own thread** on JetPack’s forum and include
   a link to your site.
