    When I install Jetpack on a WordPress subdirectory installation (/blog) I get the following error:

    The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site's XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure example.com/xmlrpc.php is working properly..

    I also noticed that after Jetpack installation is finished, the URL is http://www.whatvacancy.com/blog/blog i.e. it appends another /blog.

    Not sure if this is something related with my wp-config.php settings or not:

    define('WP_HOME', 'https://www.whatvacancy.com/blog');
    define('WP_SITEURL', 'https://www.whatvacancy.com/blog');

    $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] = str_replace("/wp-admin/", "/blog/wp-admin/", $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']);
