• I received the following message when trying to activate Jetpack…

Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32700
    Try connecting again.

Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure http://websitename.com/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show ‘XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only.’ on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.

Running the above http://websitename.com/xmlrpc.php returns the ‘XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.’

So anyone have any ideas what should be checked in order to activate the Jetpack which was added as part of the plugins when setting up WordPress at GoDaddy.com.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Mike

  • Is the website publicly accessible? It may only be allowing access from certain IP adresses while in development for example.
