# javascript links with seperate windows

 * basically I’m new to javascript and trying to get the links in a seperate window.
   Any information would be greatly appreciated…
    I’m not quite sure where to start.

 * When you are saying ‘links in a seperate window’, do you mean that the links 
   should open in a new window?
    If so, you don’t need to use JS, use something 
   like [a href=”url” target=”_blank”]link[/a]

 * target _blank isn’t allowed in XHTML strict, so I’d say java script is a better
   alternative (if you must open links in a new window)

 * I’d rather not be XHTML compliant than rely on visitors having JS on. That’s 
   my opinion anyway 🙂
