# javascript deleted from Text Widget

 * I read on [http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgets_SubPanel](http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgets_SubPanel)
   that “Text 1 – used to enter HTML, Javascript, or just plain text.”
 * So I am trying to add a widget with javascript tags. But upon publishing (Save
   Changes), all the javascript tags are gone.
 * Could someone kindly tell me how I can insert javascript in a sidebar widget?
