I was unable to edit any pages on my site (which uses Theme Fusion / Avada) and after a support enquiry to theme provider, I was advised that the T&CP widget was breaking the WordPress core.

Sure enough, disabling T&CP plugin allowed me to view the Visual Editor once again – but i’m left without the plugin’s functionality!

Happy to provide login details to help with diagnostics if necessary.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

We had here short how-tos at our FAQs page to deal with page builder plugins:

The best plugin we can recommend to work with page builder is “WP Custom Widget Area”:
Create a new custom area with the “WP Custom Widget Area” widget and place the shortcode (from the new created widget area) to a post or page. Then add our widget to the new created custom widget area at the widgets admin site (Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > … ).

Sorry, are you saying I have to install another plugin in order to allow your plugin to work without crashing Visual Editor?

I currently use a Custom Widget Section to house the widget in a menu, and it has worked perfectly – until the very recent update.

Only then (with the introduction of new features) did the problem begin.

We say, if you use our widget as stand alone it works.
If you want to use another page builder plugin you also can download and use a third widget to use the page builder and our widget.
We think there is nothing wrong.

An option can be to delete the old widget and add a new widget instance to your page. May there is a problem with the update. (But we also say the problem can be cause from a WordPress version update.)

Maybe if there was some information about which conflicts you are talking about, it would have been easier to investigate it.

Generally, conflict means that there are two sides that contribute to having a conflict, so please no need to point fingers as it will be easy to just point it back at avada instead of trying to solve the actual issue.

Lets get this to be a productive discussion. Right now maybe Daniel knows better but I have zero idea what kind of conflict there might be at all as our JS is extremely minimal and should be isolated enought to not cause any problem to anyone.
