Japanese Text : I want to avoid “Long Vertical Title”

  • Hi! I’m RozKen, a Japanese Undergraduate.
    This is my first post at this forum.

    I’m using ahimsa Theme in my website: http://rozken.homelinux.net/serversetup/
    I’d like to use Japanese Title. But the title is shown in vertically long style by default.
    I’ve read “header.php” and “style.css”. But there is no code which orders such a useless display in id=”title”.
    Now I am using ahimsa by changing the title which includes Long English Title.
    But I’d like to cut the Long English Title.

    How can I solve the problem.
    I appreciate your help.
    And I apologize if my English is poor.

    Regards.

  • RozKen,

    I am guessing your problem is that the Japanese text (タダを使いこなすPC技) is getting wrapped around to form a long vertical title?

    One way out of this is to edit the stylesheet and add:

    #title
    {
        white-space:nowrap;
    }

    or if that doesn’t work, the edit the header.php and where it says:

    <td id='title' ...>

    replace it with:

    <td id='title' nowrap ....>
