I’ve tried everything I can find…
-
But I can not get WordPress installed.
I have followed the directions, and read all of the documentation I can find about trouble shooting and installing.
I created a database, as instructed, tested it, and it seems to be working fine.
I edited the wp-config.php to add my database information, exactly as it game me in my c-panel, and as directed in the installation instructions.
When I go to wp-admin/install.php, I get the same error each time.
“Error establishing a database connection This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.”And I have checked over and over again, I have the right information, but It will not install for me.
Any tips or ideas?
