 * Hi. I am a writer (wrote a book about true animal rescue stories called Last
   Stop Before Rainbow Bridge), not a website designer. I did, however, create my
   website from scratch and pretty proud of it. Now, I have a couple of issues that
   I can’t figure out how to resolve (despite a plethora of videos on YouTube and
   some very helpful posts in a forum). I would like to ask if anyone would be willing
   to spend about 15 minutes with me on a GoToMeeting (I have the account) and help
   me with my couple of questions. I would be happy to barter with a signed copy
   of my book.
 * So you know what you are getting into:
    1. my edit mode for my home page is stuck
   in HTML rather then TEXT and I can’t figure out how to switch – the tabs are
   missing. 2. my home page is only appearing in my theme “home page” and I can’t
   SEO it from there. (That might be as simple as copying and pasting into the regular
   Home page, but I don’t want to do anything on my own that will screw it up.)
   3. My name at the top as author is in a color that blends in the background and,
   for the life of me, can’t find it to change it and, anyway, wouldn’t know how
   in the HTML way. I need TEXT!
 * My site is [http://www.LastStopBeforeRainbowBridge.com](http://www.LastStopBeforeRainbowBridge.com)
 * I would really appreciate someone’s help! I need to get my site fixed – my books
   purpose is to raise funds for animal rescues and everyday is potentially lost
   revenue.

 * Hi there – I bet people here can help you here on the forums which is really
   a better way to go (kinda forum policy).
 * Here’s a start –
    #1 – the HTML and TEXT are the same thing – the name was changed
   a few versions back. Or do you mean that the VISUAL tab is missing? If that’s
   the case, look under your user profile to see if VISUAL is disabled.
 * #2 – I’m not sure I totally understand what you are trying to do – Responsive
   Theme has a custom home page option (which you are using) so it’s set up under
   the Theme Options. You can’t really copy it someplace else.
 * #3 – you can change that color using Custom CSS – under theme options, click
   on style and scroll down to the bottom – you’ll see a window for custom CSS –
   try adding this code there:
 *     ```
       .site-description {
          color: red;
       }
       ```
 * Obviously, you may not want red – just use whatever color you prefer.
 * BTW, your site looks really good – nice job so far and lovely purpose.
 * Oh, I hadn’t realized that I was breaking a policy. Sorry.
 * So, JenR, you are officially my website God(dess). Your solution for my VISUAL
   issue was absolutely correct! So simple. So many weeks of torture. Thank you!
 * And I wasn’t quite sure about the Custom CSS, BUT you motivated me to re-watch
   the original youtube video and re-learn that the portion of the page I was struggling
   with was the logo. So, I created a new logo and imported! Check it out. Is the
   purple too much?
 * So, the last item about SEO and such. Let me be more specific.
 * I downloaded SEO Yoast. In following yet another youtube video, I was trying
   to follow instructions only to find that my WP Home Page has only one random
   sentence of my Home Page text (Did You Know… Black Furred animals…) and the rest
   of my home page text is under Appearance / Theme Options / Home Page including“
   Did you know… Black furred animals…”. So I think that’s simple – the theme is
   simply overriding the standard. Not a mystery. How that single sentence ended
   up in the standard I have no idea.
 * But my issue is that SEO fields Yoast is looking for such as Focus Keyword, SEO
   Title, Meta Description are only found on the standard Home Page. They are not
   under the Theme home page, so I’m stumped as to how to SEO. This is why I was
   thinking I should just copy and paste my text to the standard home page since
   it is overridden anyway, and then can SEO regardless. But I’m not sure that would
   work.
