I've developed a new plugin called wp_favorites

  • Hello, I have created a beta of a plugin called wp_favorites, that allows a logged in user to ‘favorite’ a tag from a tag archive, and then have a link to that tag archive be displayed at all times in their sidebar (or wherever the admin puts the template tag). It also allows the user to select multiple tags and filter posts that only contain all of the selected tags. Well, I need to see if it works on different installs! It works on vanilla installs of wp 2.8 through 3.0, as well as all the other places I’ve tried it, but I need a bigger userbase to make sure it functions as expected. Can you help out by making sure it works on your install? All you would need to do is:

    • get the zip file here
    • install it
    • activate it
    • add if(function_exists('wp_favorites')) wp_favorites(); somewhere in your sidebar
    • navigate to a tag archive (usually linked under a post, like “tagged ‘tag1’ and ‘tag2′”) and click the ‘add tag1 to my favorite tags’ button.
    • Now, you should be able to see a link to that archive at all times, as well as try out the multi-tag navigation
    • let me know how it went

If you can do this, i would be really thankful! After I get enough feedback, I guess I will send the plugin to wordpress to look at? (I think that’s how it works)
