I've been hacked by russians… I think.

    Ok, so I am managing a website for a company called Breakthru Fitness. Their group schedule page is showing russian text in 2 places – one, when you load http://breakthrufitness.com/groupschedule/ ONLY IN SAFARI or on iPhone – and it shows if you paste that same link into facebook to share the url.

    I have spent HOURS trying to nail down the source of that text and how to remove it, but I cannot find anything.

    I am really hoping someone smarter than I am is able to help.

    A scan of your site is clean. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Hello Bittysites,

    Sorry to hear you’re having problems with your Safari and iPhone. It’s possible there is toolbar plugin or other hidden malware that is not being detected causing the issue. I looked this up on the Apple Support forums and found this post:

    Apple Support Forums – “Google Redirect Virus”

    Check out the last link in the article and that may help you pinpoint the issue.
