Do comment work properly if Jetpack is the only active plugin?
No, they don’t. I’ve contacted the plugin’s support. This plugin allows me to have the features of wordpress.com, including Reader. After several attempts to resolve the iusse, support advised me: “It’s likely coming from a server-side security rule, like ModSecurity, that’s causing a block to that specific XML-RPC request.
The XML-RPC file is what Jetpack uses to communicate with your site. Any blocks there can cause errors like this.
Would you please reach out to your host and ask to check the server logs for any blocks? They should be able to identify what’s causing it and remove that block for you”.
How I can resolve?
You’ll need to reach out to your host and ask to check the server logs for any blocks.
To be clear, we’re all Jetpack Support here too. So, if you reached out to us privately for an answer, it would be the same answer here too. 🙂

Hi, on my site, the visitors fail to comment through the Reader. When they try to leave a comment, this message comes out: “Sorry, there was a problem posting your comment”. Instead, if they enter on the site not through the Reader, they can leave a comment under the post. How I can resolve this iusse?
My site is http://www.conoshare.it
Thanks so much
