I only want to use Google Analytics to see the visitors of my site. For some reason this new system 4 replaced good old GA. That would be fine, if it was easier to use. But Google makes it too complicated. And of course, it does not work. Reading the support section, it involves a lot of clicking here and clicking there. Where is good old KISS? Keep It Stupid Simple

    Please google… KISS!

Sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the rollout of Google analytics 4. We can only address issues with the Site Kit plugin from here.

For issues relating to Google Analytics 4 such queries can be directed to the Analytics Help Center.

Just following up with you on this. To connect your site with Analytics the Site Kit plugin can create a classic Universal Analytics property (UA- prefix) for you if you wish, or it can connect to an existing Universal Analytics property.

If you’ve already created a new Analytics 4 property from analytics.google.com but prefer to use the classic Universal Property here’s an example of creating such a property alongside the new Google Analytics 4 property (G-).

We’ll be publishing an article shortly in relation to Site Kit integration with Google Analytics 4. In the meantime feel free to open a support topic if you encounter any trouble setting up Analytics with Site Kit and we’d be happy to assist.

You can also send feedback directly to the Analytics team in relation to Analytics 4 using the link in the footer of the Analytics web service.
